Grant Office invites university researchers to the first info day on research funding at the university library on 12 February from 12:30 to 17:00. Short presentations and workshops are held to encourage researchers to make use of the opportunities offered by the university to find information on Estonian and European research grants and apply for suitable ones.
Although the University of Tartu researchers have successfully applied for increasingly more research funding in recent years, data show that the number of new applicants is decreasing every year. At the same time, the number of academic staff has grown. Therefore, there must be many influential researchers with high potential at the university who have not yet found their way to applying for research grants.
The Funding Nudge aims to enhance university researchers’ knowledge of research funding opportunities and the services of the Grant Office and nudge them into submitting successful grant proposals.
The afternoon event starts with presentations by top experts focusing on Estonian and European research grants. After that, researchers are welcome to participate in workshops for which they should register based on specific interests. In addition, they can find out how the Grant Office supports university researchers in searching for research funding opportunities and preparing their proposals.
The event will take place in Estonian only.
More detailed information with a registration link will be published in January.
